In 2016 Belgium and Japan celebrate 150 years of friendship, in commemoration of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1866. We believe that such a long friendship deserves a toast… and a great Belgian beer, CHOUFFE Soleil 150!
CHOUFFE Soleil is a blond special beer, delicately fruity and deliciously refreshing, ideal to welcome sunny days. At the brewery they call it therefore a “sunshine ale”, undeniably a perfect thirst quencher for these warm sunny days in Japan.
Add to this the fact that Japan is also referred to as “the land of the rising sun” and the “warm” thoughts that 150 years of friendship bring, you understand why we handpicked CHOUFFE Soleil as the friendship beer !
CHOUFFE Soleil is brewed by the Achouffe Brewery in… “Achouffe”, a small picturesque village in the southeast of Belgium. The brewery is set at the heart of the beautiful Belgian Ardennes, amidst forests and green pastures, where it would not be unthinkable to meet gnomes. It is therefore no surprise that all labels of the CHOUFFE beers are adorned with
